PreSubmit — venue compliance & submission readiness checker
Final readiness check before submitting to a venue or funding platform. Upload your manuscript and get a prioritized issue list.
What PreSubmit does
Drop or choose your manuscript file (PDF, DOCX, .tex, or plain text), optionally pick a venue — or paste its requirements as a URL or text — and click Run PreSubmit Check.
- Venue compliance: check the manuscript against a venue profile, a requirements URL, or pasted requirements text.
- Double-blind heuristics — heuristic anonymity checks (not a compliance guarantee).
- Bibliography and document structure checks, plus ORCID/DOI sanity checks.
- Page and abstract limit checks driven by the selected venue profile.
- Leftover-template-text detection — lorem-ipsum, placeholder author/title, and stray
\todonotes. \ref/\labelintegrity — orphan references and duplicate labels.- NeurIPS-style checklist assistant (opt-in, AI, beta) that cross-checks your answers against the manuscript.
- Issues sorted by severity (errors, then warnings, then info) with per-issue open/fixed/ignored tracking.
PreSubmit requires a free account — sign-in takes seconds, free during the pilot.

Most desk rejections are avoidable formatting and completeness problems, not the science. PreSubmit is a final readiness pass: upload your manuscript and it returns a prioritized issue list — missing required sections, missing title or abstract, duplicated sentences, overlong sentences, bibliography problems and more — so you fix the mechanical issues before a reviewer ever sees them.
Examples
Prioritized issue list
On a draft missing its front matter, PreSubmit returns findings such as “Missing required section”, “No title detected” and “No authors detected”, grouped by area so you work top-down.
FAQ
What file types can I upload?
LaTeX source and common manuscript formats; a scanned or image-only PDF with no extractable text is detected and reported rather than silently passed.
Is my manuscript stored?
No manuscript text is stored after processing.
Does it guarantee acceptance?
No — it catches mechanical and completeness issues, not the quality or novelty of your research.
Can it check venue-specific rules?
You can supply a venue's requirements and PreSubmit checks against them; without one it applies general submission-readiness checks.
